Privacy Policy
What this site collects, why, who sees it, and how long we keep it, in plain language, without the 4,000-word template.
Effective date: January 1, 2026. Last reviewed: 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It applies to www.mcabulldog.com, a website operated by Usher Law Group, P.C. ("the firm," "we," "us").
1. Information you give us deliberately
The contact form on this site collects your name, email address, telephone number, business name, the category and urgency of your matter, funder names, court or county, any deadline you identify, your preferred language, and whatever you write in the message field. Everything on that form is optional except the fields marked required, and you choose what to put in the message.
The form does not take attachments, and we ask you not to write out sensitive detail in it before an engagement letter is signed. Send us enough to identify the problem and the deadline; the rest can travel through a channel we have agreed on.
2. Information collected automatically
Our web host records standard server log data (IP address, browser and operating system, referring page, pages requested and timestamps), which is generated by the act of serving a page and is retained for security and diagnostic purposes.
This site sets no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies. Web fonts are served from this domain rather than from a third-party font service, so loading a page here does not disclose your IP address to a font provider. If we later add analytics, this policy will be updated to say what it is and what it collects before it is deployed.
3. Why we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether we can assist you.
- To run a conflicts check, which is a professional obligation and may itself be a reason we cannot take your matter.
- To provide legal services, if you become a client.
- To maintain the security and functioning of the website.
- To comply with law and with our professional obligations, including record retention.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not sell inquiries to other law firms or to lead brokers.
4. Who else sees it
Attorneys and staff of the firm who need it. Service providers who host the website, deliver email, or store documents, under contractual confidentiality obligations. Anyone else only where you direct it, where a client's matter requires it, or where the law compels disclosure.
5. Confidentiality, privilege, and the limits of both
Communications made for the purpose of obtaining legal advice are generally privileged, and we treat inquiry material as confidential. Two limits are worth stating clearly. First, an attorney-client relationship does not exist until an engagement letter is signed by both sides, and information sent before that point may not receive the full protection you assume. Second, email and web forms travel over networks we do not control; nothing transmitted over the internet is perfectly secure.
6. Retention
Inquiries that do not become engagements are retained only as long as needed for conflicts purposes and then disposed of. Client files are retained in accordance with our professional obligations and the firm's file-retention practices.
7. Your requests
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will honor such requests to the extent our professional and legal obligations permit. A client file, for example, cannot simply be deleted on request. Write to info@usherlegal.com.
8. Children
This site is directed to business owners and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do, and material changes will be identified on this page.
